It’s not really “Travel” per se, but want to talk about going from one place to another.  There are a lot of jumping toys that gets you to point A to point B, but today, let’s talk about pogo stick.  A pogo stick is a device that allows you to jump off the ground from a standing position. This is done with the aid of a spring that is below the two-foot pads on a pole that extends to a height which allows the user to hold and control the pogo stick. The design was patented in 1919. Pogo sticks are still popular as toys and exercise equipment even though it is a century since they first came into use. You will find many different designs and looks, but the basic design as given above still holds true and has largely remained unchanged over the years. The use of a pogo stick requires a fair amount of physical strength, as well as mental alertness to ensure that you stay balanced on it without falling over. You have to take care to remain properly centered on the stick, while at the same time flexing your knees to create the required bounce. You also need to learn to shift your body weight so that the stick moves forward, backward, or sideways. Pogo sticks can be used, and are being used by people of both genders and of all ages, and some designs nowadays are advanced and extreme enough to be considered adult pogo stick.   Learn How to Pogostick taught by a child: Learn How to Pogostick taught by an adult: Working out on pogo sticks is an exercise that also improves mental clarity, and gives a sense of accomplishment to the person. It is a form of exercise that can never be boring and can be practiced in the home, in the yard, in parks or other open areas, and gives a sense of freedom while giving you all the exercise that you need. It is a toy that can make you taller, act as transportation and can be enjoyed by both the young and the old. Pogo sticks are affordable in the basic wooden models, though there are models that are made of metal and come with a lot of add-ons. Pogo sticks are safe to use and can be less dangerous than bicycles, as a bike is traveling at speed when a kid falls off it. Even so, it is quite safe if kids using it for the first time are equipped with knee pads, elbow guards and helmets so that there is a lesser chance of injury. The challenge of mastering the bouncing and staying upright on a pogo stick is something that brings a smile on most children’s faces. Once they master this basic art, children are bound to try out tricks like bouncing without holding on to the stick, doing standups on sticks and other things like somersaults. In fact, riding on pogo sticks has become a sport that is widely practiced and invites a user to many competitions. Pogo sticks make for simple toys that are easy to understand and are not complicated like many of the toys of today, which often require grownups to intervene and teach the children how to use them. Kids are happiest with toys that are child-friendly and which can still give them a lot of fun while allowing them to expend all the energy that they naturally have. They also do not require much of space to keep away, and can easily be kept behind doors, resting against walls or in corners, while being easily accessible for the fun that their use does bring. Pogo sticks can also come with stilts, though balancing on them is something that does require a lot of practice. A great advantage with pogo sticks is that they do not require batteries like many of today’s modern day toys need. They are ready to go into action in an instant and lead to wholesome fun, that allows children to use up a lot of their energy.

Everyone loves to travel, but did you ever consider how eco-friendly your traveling is? It’s never too late to take into consideration this aspect. The first question that you’ll have to ask yourself when you decide on a vacation is the distance that you want to travel. This means how far you want to go from home, as a local vacation is considered to be the greenest. There are different means of transportation, and even if different fuels propel some of them, they can still be harmful to the planet. However, you can always pay attention to how you travel, so let’s see what you need to know about it.   Less Flying You can always look at alternative travel when taking your vacation, instead of taking the plane. As you certainly know, the air travel is pretty convenient, but it’s also one of the most polluting transport means. The plane represents a growing source of greenhouse gas emission, as the gasses are released at high altitudes and produce the most damage. If you can’t quit flying at all, think about reducing the number of flights you take per year. If you want to take a vacation, think about choosing an alternative way before buying a plane ticket. It’s true that the modern planes have a better technology that it’s cleaner for the environment, but it’s still polluting.   Choosing Something Else If you can make a choice between driving, flying or taking the bus or the train, go for the train or the bus. Any of these two options are more eco-friendly than the rest of them because you can save about seven times the emissions of greenhouse gas compared to taking a plane. We’re not telling you that you should always make this choice, but you need to be conscious of the different ways of travel you use. Sometimes it’s impossible to reach a place without a car, but when a train is a good option, you should use it. There’s something else you should keep in mind – the time you spend on the train and the things you will see through your journey. With the plane, you’ll reach your destination in no time, but with a bus or a train, you’ll also be able to enjoy the sights and see the beauty of the land you pass through. Someone else will be driving for you, and it’s even safer to travel by train than with your own car.

There are different ways to understand an eco-friendly travel, and we’re not talking just about how you travel from one place to another. Sometimes, it’s impossible to avoid traveling by plane as the distance can be quite large and the destination can’t be reached through trains or buses. However, you can still pay attention to other things that help the environment, and it’s known that tourists represent a major source of pollution for the surrounding nature. Let’s see what you can do in helping nature and the environment through small actions that make a difference.   Re-Usable Bags It’s better to have reusable bags with you whenever you go shopping, especially when you’re on vacation. It takes about 500 years for a plastic bag to biodegrade, so using something that’s eco-friendly will help a lot. Apart from this, you won’t throw the bag after just one use.   Packing Light and Sharing the Load Wherever you travel, make sure you pack light, especially if you use a plane. Aircraft will produce more carbon emissions if it has more weight, so pack only what you need. Apart from this, if it’s possible, use public transport when you reach your vacation destination. You won’t create additional carbon emissions, as more people use the same transport system, but you’ll also have a better travel experience. You’ll get to see the place, meet new people and enjoy the landscapes.   Local Products When you go on a vacation, you’re not doing so just to relax, but also to know the local culture. This being said, you should try the local products, like local foods and local beers – not only will it give you a wonderful experience, but you’ll also help the local economy and you’ll reduce beer or products mileage.   Your Hotel is Your Home Don’t forget to act like being at home in your hotel room. This is about using the towels at least several times before changing them, don’t take long showers – to reduce the water consumption and don’t forget to turn off the TV, the lights or the air conditioning unit.   Respecting Nature Wherever you are, don’t forget to collect your own garbage. It doesn’t matter if you’re hiking in a forest or if you’re just visiting a new town. It’s important to take the garbage to dumpsters and make a selection before throwing it away. It’s a very easy way to help the environment – if you don’t like to see plastic bottles on the street or different packs, why not throw them away in special places. In the end, every small action counts – it’s a great way to help the environment, not only when you’re traveling, but also while being at home, at the office or in a hotel room.
